Milestone of MK KASHIYAMA (Since 1946-)

1946

May Makoto Kashiyama founded Kashiyama Shoten and started selling automobile parts

1960

December 21, Kashiyama Press Kogyo Co., Ltd. (currently MK Kashiyama) established (capital 12 million yen), manufacturing and sales of automobile parts started

1965

Started manufacturing brake shoes

1966

Launched as a brake shoe assembly under the MK brand with the initials of Makoto Kashiyama

1967

Started manufacturing disc brake pads

1971

Started manufacturing disc brake rotors

1975

Moved Tokyo office from Azusawa, Itabashi-ku to Nihonbashi Kayabacho

1976

Brake shoe assembly is certified as an excellent automobile part by the Japan Auto Parts Association (JAPA)

1979

January 17, the former president Makoto Kashiyama died

Takashi Kashiyama inaugurated as Representative Director

1981

Completion of Shibamiya Factory (currently STAGE.2)

1983

Achieved 8 million brake shoes and 600 thousand sets of brake pads

1984

Disc brake pads are certified as excellent automobile parts by the Japan Auto Parts Association (JAPA)

Established Winmax Co., Ltd. Started manufacturing and sales of brakes for races and rallies

1987

Company name changed to MK Kashiyama Co., Ltd.

1988

Partnership with Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. (Malaysia) (Start manufacturing brakes in Malaysia)

1990

Completion of Technical Research Institute and STAGE.3 factory in Otai Industrial Park

Company emblem trademark registration Taira 2-74062

Changed the company name of Automobile Industry Co., Ltd. (Malaysia) to MK Kashiyama (Malaysia) Co., Ltd.

1991

Designated as a model factory for rationalization of small and medium enterprises by the Commissioner of the Small and Medium Enterprise Agency

1994

Established MK PRIMA INDONESIA Co., Ltd. Started manufacturing and selling brakes in Indonesia

Obtained the Safety Standards (ABE) Standard of the German Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

1995

Established MK KASHIYAMA Singapore Co., Ltd. Started sales of automobile parts

1996

Obtained ISO9001 certification

1997

Moved sales department to Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku

1998

Cancellation of alliance with MK Kashiyama (Malaysia) due to expiration of contract period

1998

Obtained ECER90 (European standard)

Completed the operation center in Iwamurada, Saku City and relocated the general affairs department, and named Somu Department.

Moved the sales department to Saku City and Named CS.CENTER

2001

Moved Somu Department to Otai Industrial Park

2002

Increased capital to 80 million yen

Obtained ISO14001 certification in the technical department

Completed in-house development products of brake lining and started mass production in Indonesia

Started sales of environmentally friendly product “Eco Pad”

Partnership with USA MAT, increased capital to 100 million yen

Merged Winmax Co., Ltd.

Started consignment production of disc brake pads at Danblock Brakes India , Delhi, India

Takashi Kashiyama inaugurated as Chairman and Representative Director

Tsuyoshi Kashiyama inaugurated as President and Representative Director

Hiroyuki Kashiyama inaugurated as Executive Vice President

Started manufacturing brakes for industrial construction machinery

Moved General Affairs Department to STAGE.2.

2012

MK KASHIYAMA THAILAND Co., Ltd. factory completed

Started manufacturing disc brake pads in Thailand

Resurrection of MK rotor. Sales started from December 21st

2015

Selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry as “GAMBARU Small and Medium Enterprises 300 “

Special sales department opened in Osaka City.

MK KASHIYAMA THAILAND Co., Ltd. Factory closed

January Representative Director and Chairman Takashi Kashiyama retired
